The origins of ViniSystems

Mathilde Pebre-Mayer, a graduate agro-food engineer from Institut Agro Rennes (Agrocampus Ouest), specialised in viticulture and oenology at Institut Agro Montpellier (SupAgro), where she also completed the National Diploma of Oenology. She later gained hands-on winemaking experience in Provence, her native region, before travelling to Australia, the Canary Islands and southern Spain, where she discovered a wide range of terroirs and their specific challenges. It was during her first experience as a Technical Manager that she gradually implemented a system to ensure rigorous, remote control of processes, thereby restoring autonomy to the winery she was responsible for. Passionate about computing from an early age, she then used her skills to make this system transferable to other wineries. In 2025, she founded ViniSystems with the aim of providing smart solutions that deliver both consulting support and management tools to wineries. Wherever she has worked, Mathilde also observed the challenges faced by industry professionals when it came to keeping their regulatory documents up to date and reliable; she therefore specialised in drafting these documents and sought to integrate that expertise into her activity. Aware of the current challenges affecting the wine industry, ViniSystems’ objective is to restore wineries’ autonomy in the face of complex oenological decisions, regulatory requirements and digital tools, through solutions that combine instant decision support, data traceability and task automation.
